Learning Integration Essay

This essay focuses on the essential elements of knowing schools and society. I wrote about my experience of reading a young adult novel, This Time Will Be Different by Misa Suguira. I shared connections between the text, elementary social studies, and our greater society and discussed my research about the model minority within Asian and American cultures. This writing encouraged me to consider my own positionality as an educator striving to establish strong connections between students, families, communities, and society.
