Learning Integration Essay

This essay focuses on the essential elements of a supportive literacy learning community in the classroom. I shared examples from course readings, my student teaching placement, and classroom experiences within my methods coursework. I learned how to facilitate an inclusive classroom community by drawing upon the assets and dynamics of students to plan effective lessons. Within this essay, I also considered how classroom management contextualizes issues within broader ideas about teaching and students. By fostering a safe, consistent learning environment, I can support the needs of the learners in my classroom while setting them up to be successful members of their local communities and greater society.
